Pavilion Poems
A baby sardine
saw her first submarine,
she was scared
and looked through the peephole.
Oh come, come
said the sardine’s mum
it’s only a tin full of people

“You can’t smell a hug,
you can’t taste a cuddle”
she said,
“but if you could,
it would taste and smell
like Pavilion’s fresh bread”
“Salad for the indecisive”
Cucumber ‘n’ carrot,
lettuce ‘n’ ham.
Tuna ‘n’ prawns
and could there be spam?
Cheese ‘n’ tomato,
pots. diced ‘n’ new.
What more could a salad
offer to you?
The piece de resistance,
a taste so sublime.
Crispy, crunchy bacon.
The best of all time.
Friendship is very difficult to give away
….for it is almost always returned.
“Apple Pie without cheese
is like a
kiss without a squeeze.”
